Planning and Execution of Undercover and Search Warrant Operations

This two-day course will provide the investigators with the tools needed to
safely plan and conduct undercover and search warrant operations utilizing
intermediate and advanced techniques. Students will learn planning, equipment
utilization and operational security, resulting in safely obtaining evidence for
the successful prosecution of suspects and defendants. The curriculum will
include presentations using videos and photos of past operations in various
settings, short case studies, diagrams, and student participation in scouting and
briefing of locations for operations.
Course Highlights:
- Examine different settings of undercover operations.
- Identify factors to be considered in different undercover settings from both
the U/C agent and cover/rescue team’s perspective. - Examine different settings for the execution of search warrants.
- Surveillance, scouting of locations, equipment needs, and methods of
approach for the successful execution of search warrants. - Preparing operational plans and conducting briefings.
